We went to our performance – Carl, me, and Ken (Dick Norse Patriotic Extravaganza). We sat in front of some loud speakers that were really loud so Mom put some paper napkins in our ears. We kept them there until it was our turn to sing. We sang and did hand actions while Nancy Nolda lead the whole group. We only sang and did hand actions while the other group did feet actions too. Then we saw a group of ladies doing a salute to America. Then a band. Then the “stars” and then fireworks that just kept blasting. It’s like playing “cherry bombs are going off” (a piano piece). There were some that went up and burst into big, big circles and it was really, really fun. At the end where the fireworks landed there was a fire but the fire men were there to put it out. They got it out in a hurry.
Today we helped Grandpa building in our basement. We lifted sheetrock. I had a good idea to get the first piece of sheetrock and use it for a ruler. Grandpa cut the front and Ken and I cut the back.
