When I got home on Friday there was a sign on the door with balloons. It said, “Welcome home Dave, Carl, Bill, Ken.” I thought, “I sure have a nice Mom.” I went inside and found some presents wrapped. I asked Mom if we all got one. We unwrapped them. They were pictures. I got a picture of President Kimball. I went outside to say hi to Fezwig. (our cat) Ken cam out and we saw a table from Winchell’s Donuts for picnics on the patio. He had 2 backpacks – one for me. It was red with blue straps and zippers. Bills was orange with black and I traded him.

Saturday we went sailing. I went on the first ride with Ron and we flew a hull. Then we went to a concert in [sic] Assembly Hall on Temple Square. (Beethoven’s concerto) We went in the North South [sic] Visitors Center and listened to the phones. We heard a story on eternal life and saw the baptismal font. We went to Symphony Hall, saw the curtain of glass and fountains and felt how warm the water was.

On Sunday in Primary I leaned about Jonah and Nineveh and I learned about how gossip can make people unhappy, After church I practiced casting the fishing line. I got 2 good casts. We shot a few baskets and rode bikes and had fun.
