Today was wonderful. Elder Lines decided that he was definitely going to go home, and then he decided to do everything in his power to stay. I think that Elder McDowell found out what the real problem was (along the lines of worthiness, but I don’t know). Elder Hall, on the other hand, found out that he may have to go home to get his back examined. We all hope not. Our district went to the temple today. It was marvelous. We plan to try to get to two sessions every Tuesday afternoon.
Today I want to talk about Elder Schiers. Elder Schiers has a unique perspective on life. He says things that make you think. Today he said that after the Crucifixion God lost some of the respect from Christ. What he meant to say is that he relationship changed. It really made me think about how Christ might have felt about Heavenly Father withdrawing His support for a season. Elder Schiers has given me a challenge to come up with a theory as to why the church was taken from the earth for a time.
