I’ve always known that the Lord had a great work for me to do. This weekend I caught the vision of how that will be accomplished. I have the vehicle and I am ready to roll. I know I need the Lord’s help to make it all happen, but I am going to put forth my greatest efforts so that I don’t fail him.
“If people say they know and do not do, they do not know” {Chinese proverb}
I wonder why I get such a large, yet incomplete, picture of life right now. The object of prayer is not to change the will of God, but to align our will with Him.
I don’t need to know where I am supposed to be as much as I need to know what direction to move. Brigham Young did not need to hear “Go to the Salt lake Valley” he needed to hear “Go West.” When we pray with requests the Lord will direct us how to align ourselves with Him even more than directly answering us. When we are aligned we are more prepared to receive a direct answer.
