Ripening

Ripening is a literal process. In their early development wheat and tares look nearly identical. As they grow they begin to be distinguishable to the trained eye, but the similarities are still strong. As they reach maturity and just as they are ready to be harvested the differences become stark and unmistakable.

There are two types of faith. Learning/testing and knowing/enduring. (knowing enduring is faith to know versus faith to believe the testimony of others.)

  • Testimony of two or three different testators
  • Testimony from past and from present
  • Testimony personally (or close to us) and distant
  • Testimony of strangers and of those who are familiar with us.
  • Testimony of logic (our mind) and feeling (our heart)
