Mosiah 29:37
After Mosiah sent forth this fervent plea concerning the indesirabilitu of having a king and the inevitable difficultieses and unfairness that arise for a good king or from a bad king, the people were convinced of the truthfulness of his words. It helped that between the people Ans himself there was a lot of personal experience confirming all his words. Therefore the people relinquished their desire to have a king and enthusiastically embraced the course that Mosiah had laid before them of every man being accountable for his own sins through a system of elected judges. Accordingly they held elections for their judges and rejoiced in their newfound freedoms.
