Jacob 5:45-55
One of the reasons that the Lord of the vineyard was so disappointed to learn that all his trees were bringing forth bitter fruit was that he had continued to care for the trees even when they were bringing forth good fruit. He did not neglect them until they were producing bitter fruit. If he had he might have blamed himself as it was he began to despair that the trees would not even stay tame under his watchful care. He hoped to preserve the covenant by bringing in the children again who had the blood of the covenant but had not been given the true knowledge of the covenant.
