Mosiah 12: 1-8
I have always laughed at the idea that Abinadi came in disguise and immediately said “The Lord spake unto me Abinadi . . .” I guess I was too ready to laugh rather than realize that the only reason for the disguise was so that he could get among the people. Once he was in the city there was no reason for disguise. This time the message was not, “ye shall be brought into bondage if ye do not repent.” It was, “ye shall be brought into bondage and if ye do not repent ye shall be destroyed.”
