Mosiah 13
When he saw that his court could not confound Abinadi, Noah declared him to be mad and commanded that he be killed. The Lord protected Abinadi who declared that he would finish his message and answer their question. he promised Noah that he was not concerned with what the Lord had in store for him so long as he did the will of God. He also promised that what happened to him would be a harbinger of things to come. Abinadi recited the commandments, “for I perceive that they are not written upon your hearts.” I think that statement really caught the attention of Alma who was sitting in judgment at the court. Abinadi explained that the law given by Moses was to keep the people in strict remembrance of the Lord but that even Moses spoke of the Messiah who would make salvation possible.
