Mosiah 15: 6-31
I almost wonder if Alma was the one to ask about the words of Isaiah. Either way, I feel certain that his hope and conversion came as a result of Abinadi’s answer to that question. Specifically, as Abinadi talked of the death of Christ to loose the bands of death and bring about redemption for His people, he asks “what say ye, who shall be His seed?” I think that Alma had his heart pricked and his hope ignited as Abinadi answers that all who have heard and hearkened to the words of the prophets as they testify of Christ are the seed of Christ and the heirs of His redemption.The sum of the answer is this – how beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of those who preach of Christ – He is the peace which they publish – even when they prophesy of destruction. Of course the greatest publisher of peace is Christ Himself.
