Mosiah 20: 6-12
This is the only battle the people of Limhi would have with the Lamanites where they were victorious. It is also the only battle where they were fully innocent when the Lamanites attacked them. That being said, we can hardly blame the Lamanites for attacking when they believed that the people of Limhi had captured their daughters or for believing that they had done so. I wonder if this victory against such overwhelming odds helped to prompt the people of Limhi, before they finally were humbled, to attempt to break their bondage through military action.
