Somehow I always forget that Alma was so much older than Mosiah (19 years). I never realized before that Mosiah’s declaration – that if Aaron were to change his mind, and desire the kingdom after it had been given to another, he would draw a part of the people after him and cause a division among the people – was a direct result and reference to those occurrences in Jaredite history, which he had just translated, when there were multiple claimants to the throne.
