When Mormon says that it is thanks to God that he is permitted to speak to the people he is talking about the fact that the Lord is not shutting his mouth, as he had done earlier, so that Mormon could not teach the people. I notice that the doctrines here are very much in harmony with the doctrines that Moroni expresses in his own writings both before and after this.
