Laborers in the Vineyard

C.S. Lewis, 2 types of people

  • Those who say to God “Thy will be done”
  • Those to whom God says “Thy will be done”

The context of this parable is Matthew 19 with the rich young man.
This one is directed towards the Apostles

The Church of the Lamb and the Church of the Devil are churches of devotion and loyalty, not churches of record or affiliation people in all churches of affiliation are found in each of those churches. The Church of the Firstborn and the Elect of God is also a church of loyalty and not affiliation – it is a church of covenant and only has members of the church who have made the appropriate covenant as well as the appropriate loyalty of heart – having His law written on the fleshy tables of the heart and His image in our countenance.
