Alma 6 – 7
“See that ye have faith, hope, and charity, and then ye will always abound in good works.” (Alma 7:24)
I realized today why this is true. If we have faith in Christ we will trust him and worry less about our material concerns. If we have hope in Christ we will not be weighed down by our failings for our guilt will be swallowed up in Christ. If we have charity, the pure love of Christ, we will have the love for our fellow beings that will motivate us to put forth our efforts to assist them in any way we can. To paraphrase Joseph Smith, we will not be content to help those near us, but we will help all those we have the power to help in all the world.
