I get such a feeling of the great effort of Mormon and all the other record keepers in preserving the history of the Nephites according tot he spirit of prophecy. It must have pained them so see a people among whom nobody doubted the prophecies turn within 8 years to the complete dissolution of their government and wickedness throughout all the land with only a few who were true followers of Christ.
