1 Nephi 11
When the angel came to Nephi, he asked if Nephi believed. Once Nephi confirmed that he did the angel asked what he wanted. Nephi asked to see the tree and was shown the tree. The angel then asked what else he wanted. When Nephi asked for the interpretation the angel showed him the ministry of the Savior and overlaid the symbolic elements of Lehi’s dream so that Nephi understood about the rod, the tree, the building, the darkness etc.
