2 Nephi 9
“We” shall have a knowledge of “our” guilt and the righteous shall have a knowledge of “their” righteousness. Jacob clearly does not place himself ahead of any of his listeners.
“The way for man is narrow but it lieth in a straight course before him.” That means that while the do not have room for deviation, they are also clear in their direction – there is no need to wonder if we should obey this or that.
Prepare your souls for that glorious day when justice shall be administered to the righteous. (That does not fit with the prevailing, protestant “oh, unworthy sinner that I am” mentality of our culture.)
