2 Nephi 15 – 16
What does it mean to “join house to house?”
I have often joked that it was referring to apartments – I believe there may be some interpretation for physical joining of housing structures, but I’m sure there is another more important interpretation that ties in to the inability for people to be “alone in the earth.”
The cross reference in Micah 2:2 coveting and taking fields by force and taking houses away to oppress a man and his posterity. This sounds like it may be talking of landlording and tenancy or else something like eminent domain.
I had never considered that this is the chapter that precedes Isaiah’s description of his being called to the work of the Lord.
