In the past I saw these words of Alma to Zeezrom as being spoken in a confrontational or condescending manner. Now I see that Alma spoke in a loving, concerned, and comforting manner. In effect, he was pointing out to Zeezrom and the people of Ammonihah that he was on their side and that their actions were hurting themselves.
