Alma 7
D&C 86
I glad that I did not get time to do scripture study before Stake Conference this morning. While there two of the speakers invited us to study chapters of scripture so I made those my topics for today.
Alma 7 is the words of Alma to the people of the city of Gideon. Essentially he is glad to have found them striving to live the gospel and not in the state of wickedness that he had seen among their brethren at Zerahemla.
D&C 86 is the Lord’s recitation and interpretation of the parable of the wheat and the tares. We are the tender wheat being gathered together while the tares are gathered in bundles to be burned. “Therefore blessed are ye if ye continue in my goodness, a light unto the Gentiles, and through this priesthood, a savior unto my people Israel”
