3 Nephi 24 – 25
These chapters never rang more true to me. Of course I usually focus on the section on tithing while this time I am drawn towards the section on discerning between the righteous and the wicked and the tendency to laud those who achieve worldly success while ignoring the Lord. Those who respect the lord are heard of Him and their names are recorded in the book of His remembrance. In the day that He makes up His jewels He shall remember them and in that day we shall be able to see who had been righteous. Those who humbly seek the Lord and are among His righteous may do somewhat better at recognizing their fellow jewels before the Lord makes His selection plain to see but the day shall come when the wold will feel the heat of His wrath and judgment and those who are proud will be brittle as ash and shall not abide the day while those who are humble shall be steady and sturdy as calves in their stall – in their element as they have already endured the refining process – thush they shall rise above while the ask falls to their feet.
