I wanted to compare the number that Ether listed of 2 million men dead under Coriantumr. World War 2 saw at least 50 million killed, possibly exceeding 70 million, but that is a world war. Looking at conflicts in single nations in modern times I found casualties totaling in the hundreds of thousands. The American Civil War had 620,000 dead. The worst I found was the genocide in Cambodia under Pol Pot which left 1.4 million dead – even by modern standards the Jaredite destruction was extreme before Croiantumr imagined repenting.
