1 Nephi 8
It is interesting to note that the path to the tree of life appears to be a dark and dreary waste to those who are not enlightened by the spirit. Lehi saw it as a waste until he prayed. Afterwards he began to see the field and the various elements of the world he was in (the tree, the river, the rod, the path, and the building). I’ll bet that when Lehi saw the building he recognized their actions as being the actions of the people in Jerusalem when he was preaching.

We often talk of those who fall off the path because of the mocking of those in the building, but we don’t talk much about those who are actively seeking the building in the first place. We should be inviting them to partake of the fruit. We should be extending that invitation to those who are already in the building as well.
