Jacob 5
I’m not sure why I never felt this so strongly before, but the servant of the Lord of the vineyard is that prophet among the people of the Lord represented by the tree being discussed.

The wild branches may bear tame fruit for a while, but being wild they do not bear good fruit forever. At first they are likely to bear good fruit, but over time and through generations they often revert to wild fruit. Those branches where subsequent generations bring forth good fruit – even if there were gaps – are more likely to be kept when the tree is pruned and the natural branches begin to be again grafted into their true tree.

Likewise, the tame branches that are scattered in foreign soil often have strength to bring forth good fruit for a season but will eventually bring forth wild fruit and will become wild unless they are returned to their mother root where the source of their choice goodness lies.
