Interesting how the gospel message can sow the seeds of contention among wicked societies such that the people begin to be sifted as wheat. Until this point the Amulonites were accepted among Lamanite society after they had taught the Lamanites the knowledge and language of the Nephites (not including any spiritual knowledge) but after the gospel was introduced they inspired anger in the Lamanites such that those who were still wicked targeted the Amulonites for destruction from among the people of the Lamanites.
