I notice that Mormon did not include the words of the first letter from Mornoni to Pahoran in which he simply asked Pahoran to be better at supporting Helaman. I suspect that Moroni did not know Pahoran very well personally. Moroni had been at the battlefront and Pahoran was appointed as Chief judge after Moroni was already out leading the armies so their personal interactions had been minimal. “The sword of justice doth hang over you” and I’ll bet he guy holding it if you are not careful . . . Moroni had the testimony of the Spirit that the problem lay among the governors of the land – he simply did not know that it did not include the Chief Judge.
