We had a successful upgrade to Kronos 6.1 at work today. We even got all the reports working for the new version which was a huge load off of my mind (since I was largely in charge of that portion of the upgrade). I have come to the conclusion that I need to make better and more consistent use of the Work Order approach to my job so that I can keep more effective and concrete track of what is expected of me and how well I am fulfilling the assigned tasks. I also need to be more proactive about making sure that I have sufficient work to be a positive contributor to the organization. If I have spare time I may be able to apply my specific talents to make the system better.

We topped the day off by having dinner with Jared and Kim. Just before we left I gave Jared a blessing and he gave me a blessing. I was comforted that the Lord is pleased with the decisions I am making and that He will support me in my goals as I diligently and seek to do His will and proclaim His word. Specific mention was made to include my political aspirations as a supportable goal. That frees me up from worrying that whatever I decide about political involvement might interfere with what the Lord has in store for me.
