Helaman 12
This chapter is essentially scripture study notes from Mormon. His feelings from what he had been reading and compiling were so strong that he felt it necessary to share his distress at the weakness of the people at this point in the record. Perhaps it is here that the Nephites began to have the most well-preserved cultural memory of their history as Nephi and Samuel work to bring people to repentance while the Nephites and the Lamanites are at peace with each other thus laying the foundation for the church structure and organization at the time that the Savior would come among them which structure was virtually extinct by the days of Mormon.
