We inventoried all our food storage and gave Mariah her birthday presents. At 3:00 Laura and I went to the water conservancy gardens in West Jordan an saw some really nice plants that are well suited to low water environments. We got some good ideas, including a new kind of grass to use if we ever need to replace some or all of our lawn. We got home in time for Laura to go to the Relief Society session of Conference. I took that time to talk to some people in Toronto who want to do a story about the fact that I have the same name as the mayor of Toronto and get messages intended for him on Twitter because of that. I also worked on fixing a broken sprinkler pipe that Don Eastman made me aware of this morning. That ended up taking until 9:30 pm including two trips to Lowes. By the time I had finished Laura had discovered a dead mouse on one of our traps under the stove – hopefully that is our last mouse.
