This sacrament may well have been nearly a meal – the people had been with the Savior for hours and it may well be that when they went to get bread and wine they really did get enough for the people to eat and be filled physically. The church that the Savior organized consisted first of these 2500 people and spread outward from there until all the people of the Nephites (and those who might previously been labeled Lamanites) were numbered among the church.
