For the first time all year I had not studied the lessons for Sunday School or priesthood before class. I was officially released from Sunday School and Paul Prier, whom I was planning to call as an Elder’s Quorum instructor, was called to the Sunday School. When I extended the call to teach in Elder’s quorum I asked what age in Sunday School he was going to be teaching and it turns out that he was teaching my class – he’s doing the exact same callings I was doing 3 weeks ago.
We got through our crazy day with me giving the spiritual thought in PEC and Laura singing in Sacrament Meeting, plus each of us having temple recommend interviews with the Stake Presidency after church. I got a copy of next year’s instruction manual for priesthood so that I can study it clear through before I teach the first lesson on the first week of January and I really like what I am seeing in the manual so far.
