Genesis 15
I don’t understand the sign that the Lord gave here with the various animals being butchered and their various parts placed together. Perhaps each part represented a people in the land of Canaan.I think it is interesting how the Lord told Abram that the reason his seed would not inherit the land yet was because the iniquity of the Amorites was not yet full. Even in making the covenant the Lord would not punish the non-covenant people before their time.
