Genesis 25
I generally forget about the children that Abraham had with Keturah but he did live 38 more years after Sarah died and had six more sons, one of whom was Midian through whose line came Jethro, the father-in-law of Moses by whom Moses received the priesthood. As I read that Abraham had a son named Midian I thought that he must have given Midian the priesthood, but I don’t actually know that. As I reviewed the life and death dates I saw that when Abraham died at 175 years old was about the same time that Salah died, but Shem still lived at least another 30 years and Eber lived another 30 years beyond that. We know that Shem had the priesthood seeing as he gave it to Abraham and it’s entirely possible the Eber did as well so there were others who could have ordained any of Abraham’s offspring to the priesthood.

We also learn here that Jacob and Esau were 15 years old before Abraham died – they were likely taught by their grandfather – they did not learn of the covenant only through their father.
