Today was a good day. We had a nice morning with Laura going to the temple. I stopped for gas on the way in to work and got to chat with an 80 year old man about his retirement and his daughter’s retirement. During the workday I found a job posting for a Staff Web Administrator at Intermountain. I’m going to look into it to see if it would be a better fit for me – if it could be a position where I owned the project(s).
I ran around like crazy after work looking at the ice-flow n our sidewalk that Don and I thought we had eliminated over the summer. I think I know how to get rid of it now, but it would require tearing up part of the sidewalk. After rescuing the kids from Laura’s eternal wait in line at the post office I came home and made dinner and then went to deliver Gospel Principles manuals for Elder’s Quorum visits. We managed to deliver 10 out of 26 books, but more importantly we had good talks with 4 less than active members of the quorum. Most surprising was Stan Giles – in his mid 60’s and completely inactive but quite willing to invite us in to chat. He even allowed us to say a prayer before we left.
