Genesis 45
The second visit to buy corn from Egypt was in only the second year of the famine. Once they came down to Egypt I’m sure that Joseph provided comfortably for his family for the remainder of the famine. By this time Joseph is 39 and has been in Egypt for 22 years while his father thought him dead. Pharoh responded by commanding what Joseph had offered – that they return and bring Jacob’s family to Egypt and receive the best lands in the kingdom.
