1 Nephi 11 – 12
Somehow I had imagined Nephi going out and praying about Lehi’s dream and getting an answer fairly soon. I now realize that it may well have been after months of pondering that he finally was given his own marvelous vision. I also realize that he was promised a witness of the Savior before he saw the tree of life and asked to know the interpretation. I have concluded as I read this morning that I would like to have a witness such as Nephi had – not necessarily the same vision, but the same witness as determined by the Lord. I will work toward that with no expectation that it will come in short order.
