1 Nephi 13
In this first major revelation (that we know of) in Nephi’s life he is told that the words of the Lord are plain and easily to be understood. I wonder if that is why he is so plain in his words as he speaks of Christ. I also believe that because he was told that a record made by his posterity before they were destroyed and dwindled in unbelief he was that much more focused in writing about Christ – trying to impart those plain and precious truths – and in keeping a detailed record of the history of his people. He set the pattern for later record keepers.
