2 Nephi 3 – 4
It appears that Lehi spoke to his grandchildren one family at a time but he spoke to his children all together. I also get the impression that Joseph is not nearly as mature when Lehi died as Jacob was – perhaps Jacob was 17 while Joseph was 9 (as an example).
