Jacob 5
I wonder if Jacob or others of the Nephites recognized themselves as that natural branch that was planted in the choice ground of the vineyard and brought forth good fruit on only half the branch. I also wonder (but doubt) if Jacob thought of Lehi as being the servant who requested that the bad half of the tree be given more time and nourishment rather than being plucked off and cast into the fire after that first review.
Once again I notice that the Lord of the vineyard does not only strive to preserve the original tree, but also to preserve each of the ecattered trees so that there will be many separate trees int eh vineyard producing the good fruit.
