3 Nephi 5 – 6
Mormon’s declaration that he is a pure descendent of Lehi indicates that he did not have any lineage tracing to the people living in Zerahemla before Mosiah brought the righteous Nephites into that land. It also reminds us how open the possibility that there were other people who had arrived in the promised land over the centuries.
