Numbers 2
Each of the tribes was given a place relative to the tabernacle where they were to stand as if the whole camp were an army protecting the tabernacle. They were broken into four groups of three tribes each. Three of the four groups had 150,000 people each while the fourth had just over 100,000. They were to step forth with “every man in his place.”
