Deuteronomy 27
The very first order of business when the people cross over Jordan shall be to build an altar and offer sacrifice and to write the law upon stone pillars and to have the people publicly acknowledge and accept the basic tenets of the law – specifically not making images to worship, honoring parental authority, being honest in all their dealings and remaining pure in all sexual practices.
