John 6
When Christ multiplied the loaves for the five thousand there was more left over than there had been to begin with. That (enough and to spare, even to overflowing and even from scarcity) is characteristic of our Savior. How will He do likewise for me when there seems to be nothing to begin with? Or perhaps he has already multiplied the bread and I am now in the stormy sea alone, waiting for His return. Will I display faith and ask Him to bid me come to Him only to let my faith fail with the waves. I think I have. I notice that John made no mention of Peter walking on the water, let alone his subsequent sinking. John does mention Peter’s testimony that Christ was the Son of God and the only source of the words of life when many disciples turned back and Jesus questioned if the Apostles would turn back also.

The Savior’s sermon about Him being the bread of life may be the point where He lost Judas Iscariot. There was murmuring among His disciples and I am sure that Judas was a leader among those who murmured – he was likely the only Apostle to murmur.
