What motivated David to take all those wives? We are not told much about it. For example, we are not told that he was commanded to do so. Perhaps he was allowed to do so as long as he sought them through the proper means. With Bathsheba He clearly did not do that but I wonder if his motivations were truly pure with all his other wives and concubines.
Why did Michal dispose David in her heart after seeing him dance before the Lord? It sounds like she thought he was not acting dignified as a king should be.
