Before the end of the reign of the their king the kingdom has already been divided and brought back together multiple times. The second king was taken captive by one of his sons and later restored to his throne by another son who became king after him. So far all the kings have been righteous but already portions of the people (the usurpers and others) have been wicked at times despite their righteous kings. I wonder how much of that was caused by the lack of any ecclesiastical organization to help sustain some uniformity in passing down knowledge of things pertaining to righteousness.
