Ezra 4 – 5
Was there a reason why the Jews were supposed to refuse help from the Samaritans? If not then the trouble between the Jews and the Samaritans started with the pride of the Jews. Either way, this is why the two groups disliked each other. It sounds a lot like the Jews and the Palestinians of today.
I wondered why there was a cross-reference between Ezra 4:1 and D&C 123:1 but now in understand that the Samaritans lied about the Jews to their government as a cover for treating the Jews badly just as the mobs of Missouri did the early latter-day saints.
