Job 30 – 31
More proud pity party from Job. It seems to me that he is trying to assert his righteousness rather than humbly accepting his trial in faith. The lesson to be learned may be to remain faithful to the Lord as Job does, but to do it quietly rather than with boasting. In some ways it almost sounds as if Job were saying that he is more righteous than the Lord because of the injustices that he is enduring.
This may be a case deserving of “but if not” faith (as in Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego).
