Psalms 1 – 4
I have come to a greater appreciation for the Old Testament as I have been reading it. As I begin reading the psalms—which have little if any chronological or theological cohesiveness—I wonder if they will seem to have more value to me than they have in the past. There are some individual psalms that are beautiful with nuggets of doctrine but overall they feel like filler. Knowing that they were songs or poems, I suspect that they would be more beautiful in Hebrew.
