Psalms 9 – 11
Despite his faults, king David had one trait in his favor most of his life (both before and after his adultery and murder episode); it was that he looked to the Lord first and recognized the righteousness of the Lord above all. Unfortunately for David there were times when he looked to himself first and considered his own wishes and what others might think rather than looking to keep the commandments.

The way David describes the wicked and their actions is interesting. He clearly does not imagine that he will be acting as one of those very wicked people he describes here.
